Do I need a website already?
No — we design a professional site for you during onboarding. Start on a free subdomain, or connect a custom domain on the Premium plan.
Do you recover abandoned registrations?
Yes. When a student starts signing up for a class but doesn't finish paying, InstructorOps automatically follows up with a short series of reminders — and, if you choose, a one-time discount that applies itself when they come back. You see every active cart and the revenue you've recovered right in your dashboard. It's included with Premium.
How does text messaging billing work?
Premium includes a dedicated texting number, 10DLC compliance registration, and a monthly messaging allowance (up to 500 SMS or 180 MMS). Basic can add texting for $15/mo. SMS and MMS draw from the same messaging balance — SMS is billed per segment, MMS per message, and incoming and outgoing messages both count toward usage. Need more? Buy messaging credit packs anytime — purchased credit doesn't expire.
Will you shut me down for being a firearms business?
No. InstructorOps is built exclusively for firearms training, so you'll never get the surprise "prohibited business" email instructors get from generic platforms. Payments run on Stripe, which fully supports training businesses.
Do you take a cut of my sales?
Never. You pay one flat monthly price whether you train 10 students a month or 1,000. The only per-transaction cost is Stripe's standard card-processing fee, which every business pays.
How do payments work?
Payments run through Stripe Connect, so money lands directly in your own bank account. You can take deposits, payment plans, memberships, packages, and gift cards.
Can students book and reschedule on their own?
Yes. Students register for classes, book 1-on-1 sessions, and reschedule themselves online — with waitlists and optional Google Calendar sync handled for you.
Can I bring my existing students?
Yes — add them to your roster and they're tracked like any other student, with a portal login of their own. Have a big list? We'll help you move it over during onboarding.
